I apologize if you are receiving this again but I believe RESADM was out
of commission for several days and don't believe this went out. I am
curious to know if anyone has any new thoughts about the new ARS
Liability language? A few people have told me that they have gotten ARS
to change the first part to say, "To the extent permitted by the laws of
the state of *****". In the absence of a specific law that protects the
institution from liability or prohibits/limits indemnification, I am
not sure how this changes anything. The original language said, "to the
extent authorized by law.." I had heard that ARS was considering a
rewrite because universities were complaining but haven't seen anything
yet. Can someone give me some insight into how to deal with this
situation? Telling our Dean that we won't take these funds any longer
is kind of tricky..... thanks.
