We are seeking a Grant & Contract Administrator to perform postaward grant
management.  Old Dominion University Research Foundation provides fiscal
and administrative services supporting research, public service, and
training activities of Old Dominion University.  The incumbent will perform
a range of financial and administrative duties from award negotiation
through close out.

Grant & Contract Administrator (Job #04049)

Responsibilities:
The incumbent will be part of a nine-member postaward sponsored program
staff.  The primary responsibilities for this position include providing
guidance to investigators on sponsored program management, establishing
project accounts, preparing and negotiating agreements, monitoring
financial status of accounts, and approving expenditures.   To perform
effectively and ensure financial and regulatory compliance, grant and
contract administrators develop and maintain a working knowledge of
regulations, policies, procedures, forms and guidelines affecting the
conduct of research.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate should have at least a bachelor’s degree and one
year of related experience.  Substantial independent judgment, is
essential.  Strong interpersonal skills are needed.   Working knowledge of
word processing and spreadsheet applications is required.  Experience
negotiating agreements and some exposure to federal regulations and funding
agency guidelines is preferred.
