As our institution has grown in its research capacity, we face the problem of many others in the same position of getting new faculty members to enter the "deep end of the pool".
We would like to hear how your institution has created a mentoring program between senior/experienced researchers and junior/novice investigators.
Where does your program fall on the scale of formal to informal?
At what level does it take place?
What means is used to match mentor/mentees? Is there intentional "cross fertilization" between disciplines?
What worked and what failed when you launched a mentoring program?
I have checked the archives for information on this topic.
Your answers are greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
