Subject: [RESADM-L] How does your campus support Research Computing aka
High Performance Computing

Dear Colleagues:

I would like to get a sense of how other universities support the
research computing or high performance computing (HPC) needs of their
faculty's research programs. I am not talking about 'commodity'
computing and networking services. Rather I am talking about high end
computing services. Is it centrally supported/subsidized or do you have
a recharge center for such computing needs or do you have another
mechanism. If centrally supported, what funds are used to support these
resources.
