1) We request 35% TDC.
2/3) We've never subcontracted a portion of a trial so I can't help on
these!
I'd be very interested in hearing other institutions rates as well.

We have received a request to pose the following questions concerning
industry sponsored clinical trial indirect to the listserv group.
1) What is your indirect rate for industry sponsored clinical trials?
2) If you subcontract part of a trial, do you take indirect on:
(a) the full total direct cost amount of the budget, including the full
amount (direct + indirect) all subconbtracts involved OR;
(b) use a modified total direct cost base similar to the way in which NIH
budgets are calculated, i.e. indirect on the first $25,000 of each
subcontract OR
(c) use another method of calculating indirect costs for subcontracts (if
so, would you please explain).
3) If indirect on the subcontracted amount is based on total direct costs,
including the full subcontracted amount, then do you allow exceptions to
your policy for very large subcontract amounts (e.g. one million $
subcontract to one site)?
Thank you for your time and help!
Aylin
