Job Summary     Candidate will be responsible for
directing the Post-Award Accounting including
planning, managing and monitoring the administrative
infrastructure and related systems. This office is
responsible for over $70 million dollars of sponsored
programs. The mission of the office is to provide
professional guidance and support for faculty
investigators and others within the Florida
International University research community,
throughout the life cycle of the funded activities and
at the same time to ensure compliance and reduce
exposure to risk. The Post-Award Accounting Office is
committed to providing timely, accurate and courteous
service along with professional growth & development
and customer satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications  An undergraduate degree is
required and an advanced degree is preferred in the
areas of Business, Finance or related fields. The
candidate must have at least 8 years experience, 10
preferred, in a post award research environment with
extensive experience in directing, managing or
supervising operations and staff. Must have in-depth
knowledge of federal regulations governing
administration of grants including but not limited to
OMB Circulars A-110, A-21, A-122, A-133 and the
Hospital Cost Principals currently OASC-3. The
successful candidate must have demonstrated strong
leadership, organizational and administrative skills
related to research administration and post-award
financial management within a complex academic or
hospital research institution.
Desired Qualifications  The successful candidate will
be open, accessible, and communicative, use good
judgment, be fair and objective in decision-making, be
able to deal with difficult situations and be a
consensus builder. The candidate has demonstrated
strong oral and written communication and presentation
skills, sufficient to convey information to a diverse
audience at all organizational levels.
