 It seems to me that whichever group did the work to get the money in the
door is the group that should take credit for it.  So, if your Grants
office wrote the proposal to get the funding, your grants office should
get the credit.  If, on the other hand, your Development Office did the
work of soliciting the corporation, then they should get the credit.
Where the money is counted in your accounting system is a separate matter
that will result from type of funding and source rather than from who
solicited for it.  Finally, your Development Office could still track all
funding coming from corporations if they like, without necessarily getting
the credit for having brought the funding in the door.
