Additional Information

Required Qualifications
 Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, social sciences, or
a technical/scientific field. Five years of experience in the preparation,
processing, and negotiation of grant and contract proposals and awards.
Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be
substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications
Three years experience creating and negotiating subawards and subcontracts
under sponsor prime awards. Familiarity with university policies and
procedures related to sponsored projects. Ability to work independently in a
fast-paced environment. Ability to multi-task. Extensive customer service
background.

Purpose of This Position
Review and negotiate subawards and subcontracts. Manage faculty, staff and
subawardee inquiries related to subawards/subcontracts. Manage A-133 audit
compliance for subawards. Review terms and conditions of awards.

Essential Functions
Create and revise subaward/subcontract agreements; obtain faculty/staff
documentation of required information for subawards/subcontracts; manage set
up of subs in RMS; negotiate subawards/contracts and subaward/contract
amendments. Manage A-133 audit compliance for subawards; obtain and maintain
compliance documentation from subawardees; review documentation for
compliance risk; prepare reports. Review and negotiate terms and conditions
of awards; obtain compliance and proposal documentation from faculty/staff;
reply to faculty, staff, and sponsor inquiries. Assist with review of
proposals to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board ARP/ATP program;
assist with proposal review as required.

Marginal/incidental Functions
Other related functions as assigned.

Working Conditions
Exposure to standard office conditions. Repetitive use of a keyboard at a
workstation.

Security sensitive; conviction verification conducted on applicant selected.

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas,
subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135
days in length.
