Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, Florida invites applications for the Manager,
Research and Sponsored Projects Administration position, RTF #7563

Tampa General Hospital is a private not-for-profit institution affiliated with
the University of South Florida College of Medicine and serves as the primary
teaching hospital for the University.  It has 877 licensed beds and over 4000
employees.  The hospital partners with both academic and community institutions
to support their teaching and research missions.

Job Summary:  provide daily departmental administrative guidance in appropriate
conduct of research;  responsible for managing all active clinical research
studies including coordination of institutional review of new protocols,
preparation of hospital budget components, documentation of institutional and
IRB approval, preparation/execution of institutional study agreements, and
oversight of study billing;  represents the hospital as institutional liaison to
the University of South Florida related to research compliance and as an
ex-officio member to the USF IRB;  responsible for development, maintenance, and
distribution of financial data related to clinical research;  oversees HIPAA
process and monitors/audits studies as required for compliance.

Position manages 2 staff and reports to the Director, Research and Sponsored
Programs.  Salary range begins at $50,000/yr.

Qualifications:  Masters degree in education/supervision/administration or
health related field;  five years experience in research administration and two
years supervisory experience.
