Re: Susan B. Komen Grant Terms Vicki Krell 20 Jul 2004 12:32 EST

I haven't been successful with them either, to the extent that I've
discouraged PI's from applying to Komen for that very reason. I'll be
interested to see if anyone else has had more positive interactions with
them.

Subject: [RESADM-L] Susan B. Komen Grant Terms

Good Morning,

We recently received a couple of grant awards from the Komen Foundation.
We
took exception to the IP terms and tried to negotiate changes to it. We
were unsuccessful, they refused to modify the IP language (except for
one
minor change).

My question - has anyone been successful at getting them to modify the
terms and conditions (policies & procedures) of an award? If not, do
you
allow faculty to submit and receive funding from the Komen Foundation?

Thanks in advance for your assistance. Jane
