Is anybody using Banner's Pre Award component of the Research
Accounting/Grant Module? If so, I would appreciate any information you
have about the proposal side of things. We are in the process of
converting to Banner (Finance goes live in January) from SIS+. Right now
we do not have any software for tracking proposals, etc (we just keep a
big list). The proposal portion of Banner's Research Accounting will
allow us to enter a "grant" at the proposal stage (including attaching
the document and creating the budget). Then it will allow post award to
link the proposal to the grant (award) they create when it is funded.
You can report and search on both proposals and grants(awards). It's
great and we're excited. However, we have to set up the proposal codes
for our use. If anyone has experience with the pre award module, I would
love to hear it. Thanks in advance.
