The University of Vermont has the following position open for appications:
Sponsored Programs Administrator I: Assist faculty with planning and
development of grant and contract proposals, obtaining funds for research
and interpretation of funding agency requirements and serve as
administrative contact between the University and funding
agencies. Typical Functions Advise and assist faculty with proposal
development and submission issues by providing information regarding
University policies and processes and sponsor requirements..
Assist with development of proposal budgets and explain routing process.
Review proposals prior to submission for accuracy and conformity to
University and sponsor requirements.
Review grants and contracts for fiscal and legal implications, University
commitment and/or agency restrictions and regulations. Negotiate basic
award terms and conditions and prepare award documentation.
Serve as liaison with funding agencies, representatives and program
officers to provide funded project management. Interpret and communicate
federal, University and sponsor policies and assist with resolution of
budget questions and related matters.
Prepare statistical reports and subaward agreements; assist in problem
solving and development of policies, procedures and administrative processes.
Bachelor's degree and two years related experience required. Budget
building experience and spreadsheet proficiency, effective verbal and
written communication skills and analytical skills highly
desirable. Minimum Qualifications or equivalent combination of education &
experience.
