Dear Research Administrators:

Our university is undergoing a reclassification of administrative positions and the consultants hired to work with HR have collapsed 43 job classifications into just 12. The new scheme places the Registrar and the Director of Student Financial Aid and Admissions at the very highest level.  The Director of Admissions has been classified as an 11 while the Director of Sponsored Research has been relegated to a 10.

I have downloaded the Chronicle's Median Salaries for College Administrators and found it helpful.  Does anyone have any other data or figures to support a higher classification for the Director of Sponsored Research?
