Re: Non-Disclosure Agreements

Antje,
We have an internal document (acknowledging reading and agreeing to
abide by the NDA) which is signed by ALL University employees/students
who might have access to the proprietary information. These
acknowledgments are kept in this office. If the NDA labels the
information as export controlled, there is an additional statement on
the acknowledgement making this fact and the restrictions clear to the
signatories.
The reality is that we don't have any real control over students (or
employees, for that matter) who leave the University prior to the
termination of the effective period of the NDA.

Subject: [RESADM-L] Non-Disclosure Agreements
Dear colleagues,
When you enter into non-disclosure agreements, particularly with
industrial partners/sponsors, are graduate students covered? I would
appreciate some input on how your institution handles the issue.
Thanks,
Antje
