Please see the attached for an announcement of a pre-award position opening
at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.  The open position is in
the College of Arts and Sciences, which annually accounts for one third of
the University's research funding.  External funding in the College has
grown over 300% in the past three years to nearly $10 million.

UNC Charlotte, the only doctoral-granting university in an exciting and
dynamic urban region of 1.8 million people and the second-fastest growing
city in the United States, has recently been designated by the UNC Board of
Governors as research and doctoral intensive. Enrollment will grow from
18,000 to 25,000 students over the next decade as the University constructs
a dozen new buildings; develops a new research campus; establishes the

aggressively focuses on the continuing development of its nationally and
