The American Museum of Natural History in New York City is recruiting for a
Federal Grants Administrator to work with the Director and Assistant
Director of the Office of Grants and Fellowships, and in close association
with the Office of Supported Programs, on federal grants.
Responsibilities:  Individual will assist in the review, completion and
submission of federal grant proposals; ensure compliance with agency and
institutional policies on NASA, NSF, DOE and NIH funded projects; maintain
database of proposals and awards, and prepare reports and summaries of the
data as needed.  Function as principal contact for all post-award
compliance matters, including assisting in preparation of revised project
budgets, and tracking reporting requirements and schedules.  Assist with
training sessions of scientific and administrative staff in agency and
institutional policies.
Qualifications:  Some knowledge and experience of pre-award and post-award
research administration in a non-profit setting is desirable.  Ability to
work in a fast paced environment with strict deadlines, good oral and
written communication skills and ability to work with internal
personnel.  Good organizational skills with ability to execute multiple
tasks and demands.  Familiarity with internet resources, spreadsheets and
database programs is necessary.  Knowledge of NSF's FastLane and other
electronic proposal systems is helpful.
Salary in the mid-30's, with excellent benefits.
