The Office of Research Support (ORS) at Duke University invites
applications for the position of Outreach Coordinator/Funding
Opportunities Specialist. ORS provides information and services to help
Duke faculty and students locate, apply for, and spend external sources of
research and programmatic funding. The Outreach Coordinator works directly
with faculty and students, and serves on institutional committees.
Responsibilities include:
-- providing training and technical assistance in locating funding
sources;
-- maintaining and improving online and print funding resources;
-- creating, coordinating, and teaching workshops on a variety of
funding-oriented topics;
-- and identifying potential sources of funding for Duke projects.
Experience in non-profit funding, grant-writing, higher education,
workshop development, and outreach required. Excellent writing,
communication, computer/online, and organizational skills required. A
minimum of a bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience
required; master's or graduate degree preferred. Minimum salary for this
