This table tracks all the current and pending support for each staff scientist in the institute. When a proposal goes out I enter it into the table and link it to the internal proposal number that I have assigned. When the award comes in, the information is linked to the account number I have assigned. If it doesn't get funded then I just delete the information from the table. We don't record proposed effort on pending proposals in my central sponsored research office; also, many investigators have subprojects buried in pending, multiproject proposals which don't show up in our data base of pending proposals, so that even if we gathered proposed effort manually, we'd miss these buried commitments.
