Re: InfoEd proposal tracking

Donna,
We track supplements within the same parent file under the same account number, which is consistent with the terms and conditions of most awards. I would be wary of tracking them separately. This can be done, of course, but Proposal Tracking has the capability of easily tracking in associating with the parent record.
We have had no difficulty with requested budget entry. I assume the individuals being tracked by hourly rate are nonkey personnel. Otherwise you would track their effort as a percentage of their full salary. For nonkey personnel paid by an hourly rate, we post the data as a direct cost under labor. Hourly rates can be tracked there if desired. If you want additional information about our approach, feel free to give me a call. Dick

Subject: [RESADM-L] InfoEd proposal tracking
We are just beginning to use InfoEd's proposal tracking module. For those
of you that use it, do you place supplements to existing awards in the same
parent file or do you enter the supplement separately? Are your
supplements under the same account number or do you give the supplement a
different account number? We are also having difficulty with the entry of
the requested budget. We have opted to scan in the request budget for now
because we were unable to include people with an hourly wage. Have others
dealt with this at all? Any advice on this would be appreciated. You can
respond to me directly. Thanks!
Sincerely,
Donna Berger
