Re: Reporting Grant/Contract Activity to your Board

Question to all: What is the proper nomenclature when referring to a disabled individual? I am creating a drop down list for a database and currently s/he is listed as "Mentally Handicapped" and I know this is not correct. "Mentally/Physically Impaired" or "Mentally/Physically Disabled" or "Mentally/Physically Challenged" have been posed as suggestions, but I'm not exactly sure which is the accurate term.
Any ideas or comments would be helpful.
Thanks,
Nancy
