Funding Agencies' Listservs (follow up) Glenn Krell 27 Aug 2003 16:47 EST

Thanks to everyone who contributed to this list! I am sharing it with the
group as promised. I did not use every single link sent to me, so if you
see one missing, feel free to post it back to the group as well. What's
below is not all-inclusive; if you would like to point out another agency
listserv then by all means post it here. Those of you not in the Land of
Lincoln may want to delete the IBHE reference if you reuse this as
newsletter filler, etc.
Thanks again,
-Glenn

Many federal agencies have electronic notification services, enabling you
to subscribe directly to their bulletins. This can allow you to hear of a
funding opportunity as soon as it is announced, thus increasing your window
of opportunity to write a proposal.

The following partial list shows the Web addresses of funding agencies
where you can sign up for direct email news about funding opportunities.
The information below was current as of August 2003:

-The National Science Foundation (NSF) offers E-Bulletin Program Dates and
Deadlines, sent via email through its Custom News Service:
http://www.nsf.gov/home/ebulletin/pdaily.htm

-The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has a listserv for the Guide to
Grants and Contracts, the official publication of NIH policies,
procedures, and availability of funds.  The listserv is called NIHTOC-L;
the toc refers to the Table of Contents of the Guide. You can sign up at:
http://grants1.nih.gov/grants/guide/listserv.htm

-The US Department of Education has a service called EDInfo which
provides 1-2 email messages a week on new learning resources, ED reports,

opportunities or highlighting new documents in specific subject areas.

they are posted on the NCER Home Page. The link is:

The business opportunities list upcoming solicitations from federal

facilities which have been subject to recent enforcement actions. See
