"Minority Intensive" is a term that has suddenly been given a life of its
on here at our campus. I can't find that this is any kind of official
designation at any of the agencies. People say, "Oh yeah, I remember
something about that," but that's as much detail as I can find. The gist
I've got is that this is supposed to pertain to institutions that are not
previously anointed as HBCU, Tribal Colleges, or other classification but
that have a certain minority enrollment, plus a few other
characteristics. Some of our administrators are ready to party, thinking
we're suddenly in a new category.
Does anyone have the scoop on this?
