DESCRIPTION:
This is a professional grant writer position
specializing in the health-related disciplines. This position will be
responsible for identifying specific research, education, and service grant
opportunities in health improvement-related areas, identifying talent at
NDSU and elsewhere in the Red River Valley region, designing and
articulating projects, coordinating the formation of multi-disciplinary and
multi-organizational teams, and developing successful grant proposals.
MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
Three years experience in position(s) with
extensive productive writing responsibilities
Work experience related to grants administration
or grant writing - including budget development and interpreting
grant program guidelines
Experience with project management
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Organizational skills
Good computer skills
PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in a relevant field
Experience or background in biological sciences
or health-related areas
Networking skills; ability to quickly establish
rapport with individuals at all levels
Experience working in a higher education
environment, non-profits, research, public health or other health-related
or biomedical facilities

Experiment Station and NDSU Extension Service are integral parts of the

NDSU participates in the Tri-College University consortium with neighboring
Minnesota State University-Moorhead and Concordia College. NDSU has
approximately 1,500 staff members and 800 faculty and academic staff.
