ASSOCIATE CONTROLLER The University of Florida, Finance and Accounting Division, is currently recruiting for an Associate Controller for Contract and Grant Accounting. The University of Florida is a comprehensive research land-grant university, a member of the Association of American Universities, and one of the nation's largest universities, enrolling over 47,000 students annually. Responsibilities of the Finance and Accounting Division include accounting, cashiering, payroll, inventory control, budgetary control, disbursements, financial management, investment management, contract and grant accounting, financial reporting, equipment and surplus property management, indirect cost proposal and rate negotiation, purchasing card coordination, and travel management. This position reports to the University Controller. Responsibilities: Post award fiscal matters pertaining to research, training, sponsored programs and public service contracts and grants awarded to the University; development and negotiation of the Facilities and Administrative Rate, Space, and Effort Reporting systems oversight, interpretation and implementation of laws, statutes, rules and regulations of the Federal and State of Florida governments, as the University and various funding agencies. Qualifications: Master's degree in appropriate area and four years of relevant experience or bachelor's degree in same and six years of experience required. A CPA or CMA certificate is desirable. Preferred candidates will possess excellent written and oral communication skills; and understanding of OMB Circulars, A-21, A-133, A-110; experience in supervising professional accountants; experience with development and negotiation of the F&A rate using CRIS software; understanding of the management and reporting requirements of Sponsored Research Agreements; and personal computer skills.
