The general rule of thumb is to follow what is allowable by NSF. It is posted on their web. Do a search for consultant rate? The late time I had to look, which has been a while it was $498.00

Could someone out there please let me know where I can find the reference
to the max that you can charge a consultant (currently $514/day I believe)
on a federal project? I'm not sure what set of guidelines (i.e. FAR, CFR)
this falls under.
Thanks!
