Alex, that is correct. All final documents (FIS, FSR, final progress report) become due within ninety days of the new end date, so in your scenario there is at least a two-year gap between the last progress report and the final.

Subject: [RESADM-L] Progress Report on No cost Extension

Hello -

Just looking for verification -

On a no-cost-extension of an NIH R01 (under expanded authorities), the final progress report is delayed until the new end date.

This means that at the end of the original project period (before the extension) no progress report is to be submitted to the NIH, just the request for no-cost extension.

Is this correct?

Thanks,

Alex
