We have no institutional COI policy with reporting requirement.
For Sponsored Programs and Research Subject Protection we must meet both a
state COI law (convoluted and strange -- don't ask!) and the PHS/NSF
regulations, and OHRP guidelines, and some other internal standards, none
of which are completely in line with one another. (Nothing new to an
experienced research administrator!)
The VP-Research has instituted a requirement that each sponsored program
application (or award acceptance document if no approved proposal) and each
IRB or IACUC protocol have a COI form from each "investigator" (approx same
as NIH "key individual") BEFORE being reviewed.
100% compliance !!!
