TOPIC: Getting to Know You Government Relations from the Outside

You may be familiar with the functions of your government relation s
office. The government relation s office may provide you with the
information required to complete the  Disclosure of Lobbying Activities
form. However, do you know the individuals they work with; how these
relationships are built; and why these relationships are critical to the
institution and the sponsored research activity? This RADG will
introduce you to a lobbyist (no, it is not a bad word) and a
congressional chief of staff. They will discuss the part they play in
helping institutions achieve their mission and why it is important that
we understand their essential role.

for Congressman Marty Meehan

Registration begins at 9:00am. The Discussion begins at 10:00am
