The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs at Middle Tennessee State
University is in the process of filling the following position:

 GRANT DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST
OFFICE OF RESEARCH AND SPONSORED PROGRAMS
POS.  #440070/REQ. P2482

RESPONSIBILITIES:  The Specialist will assist the Director of Research
and Sponsored programs to increase external funding to the University.
The Specialist will assist faculty to locate new funding sources;
develop proposals for external agencies, and review budgets and
proposals before submitting to the Director for final signature
approval.  Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Master’s degree required.  Preference will be given to
degrees in the humanities, social sciences or sciences. One year
experience in development, research, public relations or a directly
related field.  Excellent oral and written communication skills and
ability to interpret guidelines and instructions are necessary.

SALARY RANGE:  Commensurate with education and experience.
