Appointment Conditions: Continuous, 12 Months, Full Time
Special Conditions:
Description: This position is designed to support the Institutional
Review Board (IRB), primarily in its federally mandated
function of reviewing all research projects involving human subjects
conducted by university faculty and staff. The
Coordinator will assist faculty with submission of materials as
required by the IRB, perform initial review of
submitted materials, maintain the protocol tracking database, and
inform faculty of the status of pending research
protocols. The Coordinator will also support the routine function
of the IRB by preparing meeting minutes and
agendas and assuring all protocol review procedures have been
completed.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or an equivalent
combination of education and directly related experience, and 1 year
experience
in human subject research regulations or
administration. Excellent communication skills. Knowledge of human subject
research procedures and federal regulations
and agency
requirements governing the use of human subject research. Basic
computer skills.
