Senior Grants Accounting Analyst
The Stowers Institute for Medical Research is seeking an Accounting Analyst to provide accounting, financial, and compliance support for competitive research grants received by the Institute. Responsibilities include producing a monthly financial reporting and analysis package for grants, preparing cost analyses for indirect costs and core research support facilities, supporting the annual A-133 grants audit,, , assisting researchers in preparing budgets for grant applications, coordinating pre- and post-award activities, and developing a comprehensive grants compliance/audit function.
Requirements include a bachelors or masters degree in Accounting or Finance; 2 to 4 years of experience in public, corporate, or institutional auditing; solid understanding of accounting principles and GAAP; excellent spreadsheet and database skills; and strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. A CPA or CIA designation and experience administering federal grants are preferred.
