proposal delivery alternative Laura Ricci 20 Nov 2002 16:21 EST

Having worked in the private sector where deadlines are always deadlines no matter what (even on 9/11), here is another option I've used. Find a Kinko's in your destination city, confirm that they have courier service available, and send the document to them for printing and binding. (use their Kinkonet software to convert your file so you can both confirm the final version and be sure the page breaks don't move on you) Their quality has been good, but only glitch has been confirming and re-confirming that a courier is available, has picked up the package and that it was delivered.

But in the case of inclement weather, definitely the best alternative (and WAY cheaper than putting someone on a plane to courier the document).
