Re: Annual Report that includes CoPIs

Hello,
I am new to this list, but I saw Maggie's question and decided to
respond. For several years I produced an annual report of funded
projects for WVU. This list included PIs with CoPIs listed beneath the
PI's name. The database I built and used at that time permitted this
type of report. I organized the entire list by type of award (research,
instruction, public service, "other") and within those broad categories,
by college or school, then by department or division, then
alphabetically by PI. Of course, on projects with multiple schools or
departments, the visual and printed credit went only the the "lead." The
last year I was responsibile for the annual report for WVU, I
double-listed projects with multiple departments because some chairs had
complained. This presented problems and confusion, but fortunately for
me as the producer, writer and editor of the annual report, there were
not so many of these as to make the process totally unmanageable.
The Office of Sponsored Programs at WVU used to have a Web site that
allowed you to see these reports going back to about 1995. The links no
longer seem to function. However, if you write to them
[xxxxxx@mail.wvu.edu], they can probably send you a PDF
file as a sample.
hope this helps, Elsa Nadler
