Good morning all,

Thank you to everyone who responded to my query regarding polices on
funding from tobacco companies and related issues. It's not often that I
post to the list, but I am always appreciative of the collective wealth of
knowledge and diversity of opinions expressed by the members of this
profession.

Chuck and Jim: the comments and positions which you've each shared in your
thoughtful exchange are most insightful. Since we are only beginning to
determine a direction on this matter, your thoughts will be quite helpful
to our office in providing guidance to the ad hoc committee considering the
issues. (This is also an instance when I wish I had not set my subscription
to digest mode and am not participating in "real time."  ;-) )
