COORDINATOR, PROPOSAL DEVELOPMENT
The University of North Florida is seeking candidates for the position of
Coordinator, Proposal Development.  The Coordinator will be responsible for
assisting faculty with development and delivery of formal proposals and
research agreements to external funding agencies.
Duties include:
*       Working directly with faculty to help them produce proposals with
optimal prospects for success and reviewing proposals for accuracy,
completeness, and compliance with applicable University and State policies,
agency guidelines and standards.
*       Ensuring proposals receive required approvals and clearances from
appropriate academic administrators and compliance boards.
*       Interpreting relevant regulations, guidelines, and University
policies.
*       Coordinating the receipt of awards and contracts with Principal
Investigators and post-award administrators.

This position requires ability to work under considerable pressure, ability
to meet deadlines, financial and budget ability, excellent writing and
editing skills, familiarity with computer-oriented applications and
technology, and ability to work on a large number of different projects at
the same time.

Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in appropriate area of
specialization; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of
specialization and two years of appropriate experience. Strong writing,
editing, interpersonal communication, computer, customer service, and
organizational skills.  Previous experience with grant proposal and budget
development desired.  Experience with the principles, practices, and
procedures relative to sponsored research in an academic environment is
preferred.  Salary range: $32,000-36,000
