The SRA-KPMG Sponsored Programs Benchmarking Program has data from 60
institutions representing about 40% of all sponsored research funding on the
number of proposals submitted per 100 faculty, % of faculty writing
proposals, and funds per faculty by sponsored programs volume, by Carnegie
Class, Public/Private, Land Grant, and Institutions with Medical
Schools.(But not by discipline). Detailed data is available to study
participants, but summary data is available on the SRA website or
www.higheredbenchmarking.com in the Research Management Study Area. You can
contact me offline if there are specific questions about the survey or the
data.

Subject: [RESADM-L] faculty productivity
Does anyone know a good source for comparative data on faculty productivity
related to sponsored projects? We are specifically interested in any data
on average number of proposal submissions and amount of funds awarded to
faculty by discipline/rank/type of institution.
