Director, Office of Sponsored Programs

Colorado State University seeks candidates for the Director of Sponsored Programs to oversee the key functions of the Office of Sponsored Programs.  Responsibilities include: Interaction with external sponsors, auditors and high-level University officials and other campus representatives; developing, modifying and implementing policies governing the conduct of externally funded activities necessary to achieve compliance with regulatory requirements in the areas of sponsored programs; serving as representative on the Office of the Vice President for Research and Information Technology team; leading the organizational tone for long term planning; direct organizational and staff development.  Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree plus 5 years of management level experience. Master's preferred. Experience in management of externally funded programs in a university setting or similar complex research environment; Demonstrated knowledge of federal regulations and the legal and regulatory environment governing research administration in the conduct of academic research, grants and contracts; Interaction with funding agencies; Application of computer technology to the administration of sponsored programs is highly desirable.
