We are currently doing an analysis of our staffing and services in the
pre-award section of our sponsored programs office.  I would appreciate a
direct response from anyone who is willing to share this information to
xxxxxx@hawaii.edu.

1.      Who does your sponsored program office report to? (VP Research,
Chancellor etc.)
2.      Total number of proposals processed last fiscal year and a $$
breakdown by research/non-research.
3.      Total dollar volume of awards by research/non-research.
4.      Total number of staff who are in the pre-award section of the office.
5.      What services do you provide to the PI?  Do you do grant writing as
well as budget preparation in the pre-award office or is it done in the
departmental level?
6. Is your institution a Research I University and are you private or public?
