The University of Illinois at Chicago's (UIC) Office of Research Services
(ORS) in the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research has a position open
for a Research Information Coordinator/Manager.  UIC is a Category I
institution that oversees  approximately $250 million in sponsored funding
annually.

RESEARCH INFORMATION COORDINATOR/MANAGER

The Office of Research Services is seeking a research manager of sponsored
programs to provide assistance to faculty and staff in the submission of
grant and contract proposals.  Applicant must be knowledgeable of the work
performed in a sponsored programs office and possess strong computer and
technical skills necessary to participate in the implementation of
electronic research administration (ERA).  The position assists with
development of policies and procedures, training, and provides proposal
development support related to ERA.   The incumbent will interact with
individual faculty and departmental administrative staff in the preparation
of grant and contract applications for submission to federal, state, and
private agencies, and will review grant and contract proposals to ensure
accuracy, completeness, and compliance with agency and University
procedures/guidelines.

Required:  Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years experience in
sponsored program activity are required, and a Master degree is
preferred.  Strong interpersonal and writing skills required, along with
the ability to work in a fast-paced environment working under multiple
deadlines.  Salary range is $45,000 to $57,000 commensurate with experience.
