Conflict of Interest Evaluation process for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission Sarah Cooley 07 Jun 2002 07:52 EST

The University of Vermont was recently requested to complete a Conflict of
Interest (COI) Evaluation by completing a Center for Nuclear Waste
Regulatory Analyses (CNWRA) Administrative Procedure-001 (AP-001). We were
asked to complete 2 sets of COI Evaluation Questionnaires, one answered and
signed by the individual proposing the work and one answering the same
questions on behalf of the University and signed by an Authorized
University Official. We have also been asked to respond again to a
revised AP-001 which requests additional information.
I am interested to know if anyone subscribed to this list has completed (or
been asked to complete) a COI Evaluation on behalf of their institution for
the NRC/CNWRA. One of the questions in the most recent version of the
AP-001 requests resumes and detailed work history of the prospective
individual or organization, including clients, sources of funding, scopes
of work and dates of performance as well as revenue by client as a
proportion of total revenue for the current and past 3 years as well as the
planned revenue by client for the future 2 years. A response to this
request alone for a University with Sponsored Program support would involve
a lot of information gathering.
I would like to know if anyone has provided this information to NRC/CNWRA
on behalf of their institution or how institutions have responded to the
questions in the AP-001.
Feel free to respond to me directly and thank you for your attention!
