 POSTAWARD SPECIALIST III AND LEAD

 The Office of Sponsored Programs at the University of Texas Medical
Branch in Galveston, Texas is seeking a motivated and customer-oriented
individual interested in joining our staff.

 RESPONSIBILITIES:       This position serves as the Lead and
provides training and evaluation for 5 Postaward Specialists within the
Office of Sponsored Programs.  The successful candidate will analyze
individual workloads, oversee account set-up, offer assistance to his/her
direct reports and the research community regarding the correct expenditure
of funds according to various sponsor guidelines, be familiar with the
Federal Circulars, assist in the development and presentation of training
materials, serve as a liaison for the research community with sponsors, and
serve as a source of expertise for the postaward staff and faculty
investigators.

 QUALIFICATIONS: The candidate selected will possess and exhibit a
high degree of professionalism, have a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years related
experience.  Supervisory experience will be an important element of
consideration and excellent verbal and written communications skills are
essential.
