Graduate Programs/Assistantships

In the past our University offered a BS in business with a procurement focus
and our office developed a Co-op Student position and alternated between two
students for two years at a time. This continued for about 8 years and was
very successful on both sides--we had the assistance of highly motivated
"trainees" and they received a great deal of real world contracting
experience (which they found to be quite different from the class room.)
Another advantage is that we seem to have populated the contracting offices
of many local small and large companies and it is wonderful having someone
we know and who understands the sometimes special requirements of university
contracting.
