Hello all:

Anyone out there care to share their college of business sponsored project
numbers for their latest reporting year?  We are trying to encourage more
external funding efforts in our college of business.  There is the notion
among some faculty that there isn't much sponsor money available for
business-related research and instead they focus on obtaining gifts from
industry/alumni.  In our last reporting year we received 8 awards, 1 for
research for $20,000 and 7 for training for $300,000.  As a Carnegie
"doctoral/research-extensive" institution we think this should be much higher.
