| POSITION TITLE| Director, Grants and Contracts Management |

| RESPONSIBILITIE| The grants and contracts department is responsible for all |
| S| financial administration of externally funded sponsored |
| | programs at UNLV. The Director is responsible for the |
| | management of the department; the preparation of sponsored |
| | program accounts, budgets, billings and reports; and for the |
| | development of policies and procedures, the Facilities and |
| | Administrative Rates: Long Form (indirect) cost proposal, |
| | audit schedules, and other management reports. |

| |Required: Bachelor's degree in business administration or |
| QUALIFICATIONS|closely related field. Six years of grants and contracts |
| |administration experience in a university or other research |
| |environment; and related management and supervisory |
| |experience. Knowledge of federal and other sponsored costing |
| |and administrative policy including A-21, A-110, and |
| |A-133Ability to deal with diverse constituencies with diverse |
| |or often contradictory goals. Ability to find the position |
| |which allows compliance with sponsor regulations while |
| |allowing faculty/PI 's flexibility in dealing with program |
| |needs. |
| |Preferred: Experience in the preparation of indirect cost |
| |proposals and knowledge of current federal issues regarding |
| |their preparation. |

| SALARY RANGE|To be determined based upon experience and qualifications. |
