My university is converting to PS for all accounting functions. I have been
informed that for preaward to interact with other areas, we will need to
adopt the PS preaward module.

I've seen a demo of it and am seriously concerned that it will increase our
workload by ten-fold without providing the flexibility and information of
our current system.

The consultant we hired does not know which universities have adopted PS.
Does anyone out there have preaward experience with PS? If so, I'd
appreciate hearing any words of wisdom from you.

Some questions:

There appears to be an enormous effort at application phase - how does that
affect your ability to spend time reviewing the accuracy of the application?

It appears there is limited flexibility to the system - you must fill in
virtually all screens or it won't go.

It isn't clear who actually enters what - the PI or Sponsored Programs -
obviously the information must come from the PI.

Thanks
