AHA Patent, IP and Tech transfer policy

Are any other educational institutions confronting a problem w. AHA
patent policy and how are you handling? As a major funder of
biomedical research I assume we are not the firt institution to
encounter a conflict w/ federal policy. Specifically in question is
AHA's right to require assignment of patent and IP rights,
cancellation of any exclusive licenses, and granting of licenses on a
non-exclusive, royalty free basis? Thanks in advance.
