Middle Tennessee State University has the following position:
SPECIALIST - GRANT DEVELOPMENT
SPONSORED PROGRAMS
(POS. #440070 / REQ. #P2249)
RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the Director in increasing external funding to
the University by assisting faculty in assigned colleges to develop and
submitgrant proposals. This position will assist faculty by identifying
possible funding sources, reviewing funding agency guidelines; assisting
with budget development, and reviewing proposals for budget and
compliance with guidelines for approval by the Director. Other duties
include updating an on-line newsletter, developing and presenting
workshops and other duties as assigned by the Director.
QUALIFICATIONS: A Master's degree required, preferably in the
humanities, social sciences or sciences areas. Preference will be given
to 1 - 3 years'experience in a research office, development office, or
public relations. Must be proficient in number of computer applications
including word processing, spreadsheets, databases and Internet. Must
have strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work
with minimum supervision.
SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with education and experience.
