The University of Northern Colorado is conducting a search for the Director
of Sponsored Programs, Research and Graduate Education (position #81919)
Director of Sponsored Programs, Research & Graduate Education
The Director administers the activities of the Sponsored Programs and
Academic Research Center (SPARC) to assist faculty and staff in obtaining
external funding for scholarly activities and to formulate and monitor
research policies and procedures. This position reports to the Associate
Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies and Dean of the Graduate
School and is responsible for expanding externally funded activities across
the campus. The director will work with the deans, associate deans and
department chairs to develop college and unit action plans to support
research and sponsored program goals and activities. The director is also
responsible for encouraging individual project development and overseeing
proposal development. The position coordinates and assures University
compliance with federal regulations affecting research and sponsored program
activity as well as managing budgets, approving and monitoring expenditures
for multiple internal University scholarly activity support programs. The
director also provides administrative support and leadership for
Institutional Review Board and assists Graduate Dean with policy and
procedure development for graduate education.
