One of the faculty said he received an email message from a colleague
(at Univ S.C. Columbia) with an attachment entitled Fulbright Grants
Alert. Unfortunately he can't open the attachment and wasn't able to
forward it to me either, so we don't know what is in it. The faculty
member is concerned that the Fulbright grants for this year may be
cancelled / delayed / postponed etc because of the recent terrorist
activities. He is working on a Group Projects Abroad proposal (Oct 25
deadline) -- not to a middle eastern coutnry, and is concerned tht he
not waste his time writing if the porgram isn;t going to be offered. I
checked the Dept Ed and Chronicle of Higher Ed web sites, but could
find nothing on this at either site. E-mail to Dept Ed goes unanswered.
Anyone know anything more about this?
Richard
