The University of Florida is recruiting for an Assistant Director of
Research Programs (Research Compliance Officer).  The Assistant Director
will act as a principal point of contact for information regarding
compliance and will ensure that campus regulatory compliance programs
affecting researchers are developed in a coordinated fashion.  The candidate
will be knowledgeable in compliance issues including conflict of interest
and responsible conduct in research.  An understanding of fiscal compliance
and how all regulatory matters inter-relate in a comprehensive research
environment is desirable.  The position requires a master's degree in an
appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate
area of specialization and three years of appropriate experience.  Extensive
managerial experience is highly desirable.  Salary Range is $34,860.21 to
$79,000.00.  Application deadline is 9/24/01.
